![]() ![]() If the specimen has an orange tint, you’ve got a girl. Basically you take a urine specimen and insert a certain amount into a jar with some sort of chemicals in it, swirl it around for 5 seconds, and then let it sit for exactly 5 minutes. I took the test at 11 weeks pregnant, and followed the instructions very carefully (an important step!). ![]() You can use this product as early at 10 weeks to get a reading on the gender of your baby. So, with the help of science and a product called the Intelligender Gender Prediction Test Kit , I got a sneak peek at whether or not this is a boy or girl bun in my oven! Intelligender is a very cool over-the-counter product you can pick up in most drug stores or online (many people report that it is actually cheaper online!). I know what road this leads to, and I don’t want to repeat my mistake. But still, I find myself lingering over thoughts of a girl, and not so much over thoughts of a boy. I haven’t had that wonderful dream like I did last time. My mother is completely certain that it is a boy. Once again, I think that I’ve got a little girl. This time around, I really want it to be different. I was so mad at myself for allowing that to happen, because the last thing I ever wanted to feel was disappointed.Īs you know, I did, indeed, have a little girl in there, so I never had to own up to my lack of preparation for it being a boy. I was COMPLETELY unprepared to hear, “It’s a boy!” and I knew that if I did, I would be sad, even if only for a few minutes. I felt that way because I realized that I had given almost no thought to the idea of having a little boy. In fact, I was so certain that when my 20 week ultrasound was just a week or so away, I started to feel extremely nervous. I had a dream, I saw her, and I just knew from then on out. During the 1st trimester, you already feel nauseous 75% of the time and taking the test did not help.I absolutely KNEW that Darah was a girl from the time I was about 10 weeks pregnant. One thing to add is that the finger prick did not hurt as much as I had thought but it was tough to do on myself. So we will just have to wait and see in two weeks what the ultrasound technician sees! ![]() Still a far cry from the companies promised 99% accuracy claim. So, I asked AGAIN and said please only answer if you have taken this test! This time, the answers were more like 60% incorrect. Someone sent me a direct message and said that she has never been pregnant nor has she taken the test but selected an answer because you can’t see the results of an Instagram stories poll without clicking an option. I mean, Sneak Peek has at least a 50% chance of getting them right. A whopping 70% said it was inaccurate! This cannot be true. So clearly in the video, I 100% believe the results HOWEVER a few weeks ago, I asked Instagram via a poll in my stories if my viewers took the test and if it was accurate for them. Watch the video below to see the results… I sent it in on Thursday and had my results delivered via email Sunday afternoon around 2 pm. I was 10 weeks and 4 days when I took the test. ![]() I ordered the test on Black Friday and waited a couple of weeks to take it. We scheduled an 18 week ultrasound but I was too impatient. I know there are tests that the doctor can do as well but since I’m under 35 years old, in the state of MA and with our insurance plan, this test was not covered and it would have been more like $300 to take. It boasted a 99% accuracy and if you could bring yourself to prick your own finger and collect a vial of blood, you could detect your baby’s gender as early as 10 weeks from home for less than $100. Intelligender was actually right for me but I couldn’t find it this time around but I did learn about a new test called Sneak Peek Early Gender DNA Test. With Tommy, I tried all the old wives tales and even a pee test called Intelligender. I love trying to guess my babies’ genders. ![]()
